Ingredients

  • 1 cup moong dal or red lentils
  • 1 cup dry short grain brown rice
  • 1 ½ – 2 tsp sea salt
  • 2 Tbsp peeled ginger
  • 1 ½ – 2 Tbsp curry powder
  • 1-2 tsp maple syrup
  • Warm water
  • 1 ½ Tbsp avocado oil for cooking

Steps

  1. Soak moong dal and rice separately for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain and rinse then put in blender with salt, ginger, curry powder, maple syrup and water to just cover the rice and lentils
  3. Blend on high for 1 minute or until creamy and smooth, scraping down sides as needed.
  4. Swirl oil to coat a pan then cook, flipping roughly halfway.
