Lemon chicken
Ingredients
- Vegan chicken
- 1 tbsp shaoxing wine
- ½ cup lemon juice
- 6 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- ¼ tsp white pepper
- Thinly sliced lemon
- Rice
- Green beans
- Green pepper
- 2 onions, roughly chopped
Steps
- Clean and cook the rice.
- Put the chicken in a bowl. Add in the rice wine and mix well. Allow to sit for 3-5 minutes.
- Make the sauce by mixing ingredients from lemon juice to garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
- Toss the chicken in 2 tbsp cornstarch and white pepper. Cook in the air fryer until golden brown.
- Meanwhile heat sesame oil in the wok, once hot add green pepper and beans. Cook until starting to soften.
- Add the onion and cook until just softened. Set aside.
- Pour in the lemon sauce over medium low. Allow the sauce to come to boil then lower to a simmer.
- Add in the chicken and vegetables. Pour in the cornstarch slurry. Cook until sauce thickens.
