Sambal ginger tofu
Ingredients
- ½ cup mirin
- 3 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sambal
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 6 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 block tofu
- 2–4 heads pak choi
- 1 head broccoli
- Sesame seeds
- Spring onions
- Rice
Steps
- Drain and press the tofu.
- Combine all marinade ingredients.
- Marinade the tofu for several hours covered in the fridge, flipping halfway.
- Cook the rice.
- Place the tofu into a hot pan and allow to brown on one side. Flip and repeat on the other side.
- Remove the tofu, then pour in the remaining marinade. Allow to sizzle until slightly reduced.
- Steam the pak choi and broccoli separately in the microwave.
