Smashed brussels sprouts
Ingredients
- 450g brussels sprouts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chopped thyme
- ⅓ cup vegan parmesan
- 2 tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp cayenne
- tajin
Steps
- Heat the oven to 220°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add sprouts and cook until bright green and tender
- Let sprouts cool slightly and pat dry. Toss with oil, thyme, parmesan and garlic powder.
- Put the sprouts on the baking tray and use a small glass to smash the sprouts.
- Bake until the sprouts are crispy and deeply brown, 20-25 minutes. Flipping halfway through.
- When the sprouts are done, remove from the oven and season generously with tajin.
