Ingredients

  • One block silken tofu
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • 2 tbsp scallions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tsp gochugaru
  • ½ tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp vegan oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chinese black vinegar
  • ½ tsp tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Rice

Steps

  1. Drain water from tofu container. Carefully place tofu on paper towels to soak up excess water.
  2. Prepare scallions, garlic, gochugaru, and sesame seeds separately. Set aside.
  3. Mix ingredients from oyster sauce to sesame oil together for the sauce and set aside.
  4. Heat oil in a small pot until shimmering.
  5. Carefully transfer tofu onto a plate and cut into slices. Push gently to fan out.
  6. Add scallions, garlic, gochugaru, and sesame seeds on top of tofu.
  7. Pour hot oil to activate the aromatics then drizzle the sauce on top.
