Silken tofu in spicy sauce
Ingredients
- One block silken tofu
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- 2 tbsp scallions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tsp gochugaru
- ½ tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp vegan oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp chinese black vinegar
- ½ tsp tsp sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Rice
Steps
- Drain water from tofu container. Carefully place tofu on paper towels to soak up excess water.
- Prepare scallions, garlic, gochugaru, and sesame seeds separately. Set aside.
- Mix ingredients from oyster sauce to sesame oil together for the sauce and set aside.
- Heat oil in a small pot until shimmering.
- Carefully transfer tofu onto a plate and cut into slices. Push gently to fan out.
- Add scallions, garlic, gochugaru, and sesame seeds on top of tofu.
- Pour hot oil to activate the aromatics then drizzle the sauce on top.
