Ingredients

  • ½ tsp crushed chillies
  • ¼ tsp oregano
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 1 chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 block silken tofu
  • Chopped fresh parsley
  • Bread

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in the wok over medium.
  2. Add the onions, chillies and peppers and season with kosher salt.
  3. Cook until softened. Then add the tomato paste, tomatoes and sugar.
  4. Season with black pepper, oregano, and Aleppo pepper.
  5. Cook for a few minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add tofu and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Cook, folding gently, until tofu is heated through and broken into large curds.
