Roast garlic bread
Ingredients
- 3 bulbs garlic
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ¼ tsp lemon zest
- ⅛ tsp paprika
- Pinch of salt
- 1 loaf of crusty bread
- 1 tbsp nooch
- ¼ chopped parsley
Steps
- Warm the oven to 200°C and pull off all the extra layers of paper around the bulbs of garlic.
- Chop the top ¼” off the bulbs to expose their innards.
- Wrap them individually in foil and pour ½ teaspoon of olive oil over the top as you close them up.
- Roast in the oven for 40 minutes or until all the cloves look golden.
- Lower oven to 160°C. Then cut diagonally from corner to corner in both directions, like a checker board.
- Grab you blender or food processor and dump all the cloves of garlic from the 2 bulbs right in.
- Add the oil, lemon juice, zest, paprika, and salt and run that shit until the mixture looks nice and smooth.
- Using a knife or pastry brush, smear the sauce inside all the open cuts on the bread.
- Sprinkle in the nooch, wrap in foil, and throw it in the oven to get all toasty, about 20 minutes.
- Sprinkle over the parsley and serve as soon as it’s cool enough to eat.
