Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp vegan butter
  • 2.5 cups rice (cooked & cooled)
  • 3 cups mushrooms
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp dashi powder
  • Spring onions

Steps

  1. Add 2 tbsp of butter to a pan and turn the heat to medium-high.
  2. Once the pan is hot, add the mushroom, 1 ½ tbsp soy sauce and black pepper.
  3. Sauté the mushroom for 3-4 minutes or until fragrant.
  4. Mix 2 tbsp soy sauce, sugar, and dashi powder.
  5. Add the rice, sauce, and sauté for another 2-3 minutes. Make sure the rice is coated in sauce and butter.
  6. Finish off with another 1 tbsp of butter, and sauté on high heat for another 1 minute.
