Ingredients

  • Vegan beef
  • Oyster mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp shaoxing wine
  • 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • Rice

Steps

  1. Clean and cook the rice.
  2. Prepare the sauce by mixing ingredients from hoisin sauce to water.
  3. Mix the vegan beef with the cornstarch, sesame oil, ginger, garlic and shaoxing wine. Coat the pieces well.
  4. Heat the wok over medium. Once hot, add in some oil then the onion and bell pepper and cook until slightly tender.
  5. Add the garlic and stir-fry until aromatic.
  6. Mix everything together then add in the vegan beef.
  7. Give the sauce another good mix to make sure the start isn’t sitting at the bottom.
  8. Pour in the sauce and then mix well to coat all of the pieces.
  9. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until the pieces have absorbed the sauce and the sauce has thickened.
