Fig and cinnamon porridge

Ingredients

  • ½ cup oats
  • 1 cup oat milk
  • 3 ripe figs
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Steps

  1. Add the oats and milk to a small pot, simmer until cooked stirring frequently.
  2. Cut two of the figs in half and scoop the flesh out, then add it to a bowl.
  3. Use a fork to mash it up, then stir it into the porridge with the vanilla and cinnamon.
  4. Slice the remaining fig.
  5. Stir the maple syrup into the porridge and top with the sliced fig.
