- 6 tbsp cold vegan butter
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ tsp all-spice
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- ¼ cup non-dairy milk
- 3 tbsp vegan butter
- ¼ tsp sea salt
Steps
- In a food processor, blend the almonds and pecans into a fine meal.
- Add ingredients from flour to salt and blend until well combined.
- Press into a pie tin. Poke a few holes in the surface of the crust with a fork.
- Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for 8 to 10 minutes until half cooked then place on a cooling rack.
- Peel, core, quarter, and thinly slice the apples.
- Mix them with the ingredients from coconut sugar to cinnamon with your hands until well coated.
- In another bowl, mix ingredients from oats to all spice with your hands until it forms large crumbs.
- Layer the apple slices in the crust and top with the crumble evenly. Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes.
- While the tart is baking, make the salted caramel by combining remaining ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Whisk constantly for 7 to 8 minutes as it thickens. Remove from the heat.
- Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before delicately removing it from the pan.
- Just before serving, drizzle some salted caramel over the entire tart.
