Chai banana bread
Ingredients
- 2.5 cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp nutmeg
- A pinch of salt
- 0.5 cup oil
- 1 tbsp cider vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 ripe bananas
- 0.5 cup plant-based milk
- 50g walnuts
- 50g almonds
- 20g chai
- 150ml water
Steps
- Mix using 150ml of water with 20g of chai. Let it stand covered for 8-10 minutes.
- Mix the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg).
- Peel and mash bananas with a fork. In a bowl add oil, cider vinegar, vanilla and tea until it's well combined.
- Add milk until your dough is smooth and viscous.
- Oil and flour a cake tin, and fill in dough. Bake at 170°C for about 50 minutes.
