Orange tofu
Ingredients
- 1 block tofu
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp flour
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 ½ cups orange juice
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp sriracha
- 1 red pepper
- 1 green pepper
- Pak choi
- 2 onions
- Broccoli
- 1 courgette
- 1 ⅓ cups rice
Steps
- Drain and press the tofu.
- Add cubed tofu to a large bowl. Sprinkle 1 tbsp cornstarch, flour, salt, garlic, and pepper.
- Close the top of the bowl with a plate or lid and shake to coat.
- Add more cornstarch and shake again.
- Bake at 200 C for 25 to 35 min. Shake at the midway point.
- Wash and cook the rice.
- Start cooking vegetables in order (green pepper, red pepper, broccoli, courgette, onion, pak choi stems).
- Combine all the ingredients for orange Sauce, except water and cornstarch in a saucepan.
- Bring sauce to a boil. Mix cornstarch in warm water and add into the sauce.
- Add the baked tofu to the vegetables and pour over the sauce.
