Pizza
Ingredients
- 300g bread flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tin tomatoes
- Fresh basil
- 4 cloves garlic
- Chilli flakes
- Cumin
- Oregano
- Parsley
- Rosemary
- Thyme
- Mozzarella
Steps
- Put the flour into a large bowl, then stir in the yeast and salt.
- Make a well, pour in 200ml warm water and olive oil and mix with a wooden spoon until you have a soft, fairly wet dough.
- Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 mins until smooth.
- Cover with a tea towel and set aside.
- In a pan cook the garlic until soft.
- Add the canned tomatoes, herbs, spices and some of the fresh basil.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C.
- If you’ve let the dough rise, give it a quick knead, then split into several balls.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough into large rounds, about 25cm across, using a rolling pin.
- Lift the rounds onto two floured baking sheets.
- Smooth sauce over the base and add cheese. Bake in oven for 8 - 10 minutes or until crisp.
- Top with fresh basil.
